The KODAK Unique Progressive Lens is a digital back-side design that is available in an amazing range of choices: 34 materials, 6 corridor lengths and fitting heights as low as 13mm.
Like most of the newest digital back-side PAL’s, KODAK Unique Lenses are based on SV front surface with the progressive surface placed on the back. This provides enhanced optical performance.
KODAK Unique Lenses are known for their large selection of material choices. All are available from Pro Fit Optix with Hard Coat only, or with KODAK CleAR™ or KODAK Clean’N’CleAR Anti-Reflective Coating with Hard Coat. Several materials that are excellent for drilling include: Trivex, poly, 1.67 index and a proprietary material called TLX 1.6. KODAK Unique Lenses are available in ten types of photochromic lenses and five types of polarized lenses, most are available in both gray and brown. The range of photochromic lenses include: Transitions 1.60, 1.67 (gray only), Transitions Poly, Transitions Next Generation, Transitions Trivex, 1.56 SunSensors, KODAK InstaShades 1.56, 1.6 index and poly, and Life Rx poly. Polarized lenses are available in plastic, poly, 1.6 and 1.67 materials, as well as Drivewear.
Another “unique” feature of this lens is its variable corridor length. Unlike other digital back-side lens designs where you must choose between two or three pre-set corridor lengths, KODAK Unique Lenses customizes the corridor length based on the selected frame’s “B” measurement. As a result, KODAK Unique Lenses can fit as low as 13mm without sacrificing intermediate vision for those who don’t require such a short corridor. They are available in 6 corridor lengths: 13mm, 14mm, 15mm, 16mm, 17mm, and 18mm.
KODAK Unique Lenses are U.S. made, for ultra-fast turn-around time (as low as 3-4 days). Add Rx: +1.00 to +3.50 (all materials). Power ranges vary by material (see availability chart). KODAK Unique Lenses are not available with Rx prism.
